121k LARGE FILE SIZEThe two new Tom Green home videos have been released in my area, both the video tape "Road Kill", and the DVD "Endangered Feces" have been unleashed upon the world to recycle yet more Canadian segments, and ride the Tom Green money train for all its worth. I dont know if Tom personally has anything to do with these releases, I know that the production team that produced his Canadian shows does; since they plaster their names all over the current video releases. The MTV era of shows will most likely take the same route. What does this mean to WE the Tom Green Show fans? We'll have a shit load of VHS and DVDs baring the Tom Green name in our collection for years to come. Its pretty silly for me to be buying this stuff, since I have all of the footage and segments on my own video tapes. Still, I get suckered in.. for example; Road Kill. Got all of that crap. Whoops, 2 seconds of uncensored footage. Got to have that!. Im not saying its bad.. infact, if you are an American fan, this crap is amazing for you. The DVD completely rocks. You get Digital Quality segments, some of the best from the Canadian era, and as a bonus you get some early Tom Green Canadian talk show appearances. Tom's first appearance on Mike Bullard; infact his first Major talk show appearance ever is included on this disc. Followed by the infamous Raccoon on Bullard, and the follow-up of the incident, with an apology appearance months later. Also, The Camilla Scott appearance is included (although not in its entirety.. it was a one hour show!) , and finally Tom's first appearance on Dini Petty (though listed as 2 separate appearances, I can only find the one). All this stuff = hard to find!. Camilla Scott is off the air, and is not in re-runs; so chances of seeing that on Television again are slim, but with this DVD.. you are in luck.

Its even good for me, as my copy was taped on a sucky 2 head mono VCR. The listing for the video is as follows..However, a bonus "Dini Petty" clip was not included on my copy. (as it was supposed to be.. via the advertisement on the back box). The Raccoon segment is Un-Edited, and we get to see the insides of Racky.

ENSENADA WOMAN > OPENING > OBSERVATIONAL HUMOR > BUD IN TRUCK > CALGARY INTERVIEW > CRACK BABY DON'T COME BACK-WITH DENISE SWANSON > HAMMERED ON RUM > PAPER WINGS > POWER OF THE CAMERA > FACE ON BUS > I'M A TACO > INDIAN SONG > CHAINSAW DESK > SOCCER HOOLIGANS > THE MAGIC TRICK-(NEVER BEFORE SEEN! )> BILLY BOB'S CARAMELS > I'M A ROBOT > GIVING RIDES > KENORA TV > COME BLOW WITH ME > HEAD SHAVE > TIGER ZEBRA > WILL FERRELL > PROMO

As for the segments on the DVD, they are not listed as you would normally think a DVD would. They are divided into Chapter Stops, but inside the Chapter Stops are usually 3 seperate segments or incidents. "Tom VS the old man" is included in a Chapter along with Celebrity Watching clips from the CBC Pilot (and later MTV), and from the Comedy Network show. Its put together fairly well, with a good bitrate, and good quality. Missing however is: subtitles, Glenn Humplik Audio Commentary Track, and alternate camera angles on the Poo Poo humor segment (which by the way, was previously hyped as "never seen before" and included on the original Tom Green home video for "Something Smells Funny". As an added bonus to Me, and no one else. The credits used for the DVD are infact the "Fire Truck Evacuation" footage I shot while in Ottawa for a Show taping in December of 1998. I havent checked if its re-edited differently, but my footage and name are forever included; digitized in Mpeg video format.

Endangered Feces
The Very Worst of Tom Green
DVD

Specs and Features 120 mins, Not Rated, full frame (1.33:1), single-sided, single-layered, Amaray keep case packaging, Interactive menu screens, scene access (9 chapters), languages: English (DD 2.0), subtitles: None. Bonus Insanity, one chapter selection, with 5 Canadian Television Talk Show Appearance, including Tom's first major Talk Show apperance on "Open Mike"

And finally, Tom and Drew both attended the movie premier of Titan A.E. The trailer for that movie looked horrible last year, and it still looks horrible. Computer and Traditional Animation dont mix well in my opinion. But the point? well they are still together.. and did some kissy kissy as well, so put that in your breakup rumor pipe and smoke it mister.

Tom is today's Picture of the Day over at Canoe.ca The website has a "plethora" of information and old stories written about Tom and the show. Check it out.

The picture on the left comes from that site, and was taken at the recent MTV movie awards taping that happened last night.. Here is the "professional" quote: "Actor Tom Green, star of the new comedy film "Road Trip," makes a face for photographers as he arrives at the MTV Movie Awards taping, June 3 in Los Angeles. The awards show will be telecast on the MTV Network June 8 in the United States. "

The new Tom Green home videos should be out on Tuesday, along with the Fight Club special edition DVD. Im pretty excited about the Fight Club dvd, not only was it a good film, but the DVD packaging is unique as well (it looks like its wrapped in a brown paper bag).

Also, Tom (and Drew) will be appearing at the Blockbuster Awards "SIXTH ANNUAL BLOCKBUSTER ENTERTAINMENT AWARDS" on June 20. Apparently it will air on Fox, so it will probably air the same day in Canada as well as the United States. The show was taped Tuesday May 9th. The Blockbuster people spelt Tom's name wrong, they added an Extra "e" for effort. Tom Greene was in full effect.

The picture on the right was obviously taken on the red carpet. Here is the quote that it was included with: "Tom Greene, wearing what he claims is Versace, turns the camera on the press ". Check out that classic videocamera that Tom is holding.. it has popped up at so many events (the Rivoli comedy hosting night comes to mind). Drew won the award for "Never been kissed"; where she portrayed Josie Grossie. I should rent it one day so that my report here will be more credible. I think Tom is having quite the effect on Drew, during her speech she went off on a very Tom'ish rant about how her character in the movie was so crazy and unpredictable. She made faces and voices much like Tom during the "Spring Break 99" special. The part where he was trying to deliver the fish sandwich at 3am. Check out some pictures below for more... including Toms magnificent audience coverage.

Ive done some fixing up, some of the older pages on the site (like the CHUD and MILK segment pages) hadnt been touched since they were first uploaded in 1998. Sad. But I couldnt just let them sit there and look horrible, so last night I attempted to fix them up. They look a little better.

The Section Changes: Well the old sections like "Letter from Derek" and "Comments" will now be in "Other". The "Media" section will house videos, magazine articles, and newspaper clippings I have been collecting for far to long. What kinds of videos? Excerpts from Tom's hosting of comedy night at the Rivoli from 1998. My emergency Tom Green show audience evacuation footage from late 1998, including Tom harrasing people inside a firetruck, and as a bonus, footage from the next night as Billy Bob wishes the audience a marry christmas and offers each audience member a hug. It was a special time back in Ottawa.

Anyway, The layout is cool for now, the last layout was cool for its time, but it took too long to download. As always, the site is a work in progress. Can someone tell me why I cant get my site in Yahoo. Huh?
The "News Archive" isnt ready yet either. Hey, I have a job, and lots of DVD movies to watch. It takes up my time!

Well Holy Crap, The Tom Green Marketing Juggernaut chugs on, in 2 brand new Home videos available on June 6th according to VideoFlicks.com (Who also was the first to announce Tonsil Hockey last year). The videos are "Road Kill", and "Endangered Feces". The video cover art is as lame as ever, but the content never is. And get this, Endangered Feces is listed as a DVD for 19.90. Rumored to be on the "Something Smells Funny" video, but now confirmed on the Road Kill home video is the Uncensored Magic Trick footage featuring Racky the Raccoon.

It is described by the following:
"In ROAD KILL Green's comedy focuses on his dead pet Racky the Raccoon in several uncensored segments including a couple that were just too gutsy for television. It's pure obscene Green and a must for anybody who enjoyed the now classic SOMETHING SMELLS FUNNY and TONSIL HOCKEY."

A 65 min video just on the Racky Footage? Hope there is a little more to it. The DVD info is as follows: "In ENDANGERED FECES Green squeezes out a complete retrospective of The Tom Green Show plus bonus tracks from now legendary appearances on Open Mike with Mike Bullard and rare clips from the Dini Petty Show. It's the whole stinkin' enchilada from Canada's master of mayhem."

Sounds like most of the "Bonus" and "Rare" footage is only Bonus and Rare if you didnt originally tape it off TV when it aired in Canada. However DVD rules, and hopefully there will be a selectable Humplik audio commentary track in Dolby 5.1

In site news, new layout will be up SUNDAY (Hopefully).

Tom is on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine on newstands right now. This is a big deal to a celebrity; their first "Rolling Stone" cover. Letterman has done it, Seinfeld has done it. But then again the guy from 80's band "Fine Young Cannibals" has also been on the cover.
None the less, this is a huge step and a huge cover and it looks great. The article deals with the shows beginnings (and Tom's), and also deals with his recent Cancer illness. A great read, and a big part of any Tom Green fan's collection. More scans to follow.

If you didnt already know from the TomGreen.com mailing list; Tom will be on Jay Leno tonight, and will be on Craig Kilborn tommorow night. Of course I was hoping for a Letterman appearance where the two would compare scars, but no such luck. And finally, I have been working on a new layout for the main page. Its a familiar look, and should be up in a few days. And If you dont have the current issue of Rolling Stone, take a look at their website here. There are "exclusive" pictures of the man making funny faces, along with an excerpt from the cover story featuring Tom.

Well after missing an exclusive engagement showing of Road Trip on Thursday (for free), I managed to get into the just sold out show of Road Trip here in Toronto on Friday night. 22 bucks later (for 2 tickets.. holy), I have to say that it was just as funny as it was supposed to be. Tom starts the fun off right away as the narrator of the story Barry who has been at Ithaca college for 8 years. He tells the story of the rest of the cast members as they undertake the journey of a lifetime: the road trip. The crowd at the movie theatre? Well it was a party crowd. Meaning; guys would repeat the lines from the movie as soon as they were spoken in order to either make themselves understand the joke, or to cash in on some quick laughs of their own from nearby friends. Actually, as soon as Tom appeared on the 1:81:1 widescreen, the crowd erupted in applause. Near the end of the movie, Tom appears suprisingly when he isnt expected.. (I wont give away what the surcumstaces are) anyway, when this happened a girl yelled out "TOM GREEN SAVED THE DAY". More applause. It was crazy! The movie was rated 14a, so all you kids can stock up on the laughs this summer. Plus: it has breasts. Its the "Feel Good" movie of the summer.

The "Salmon Song" from the upcoming Road Trip soundtrack: Basically its Tom playing a guitar about different animal sounds. The owl goes "hoot hoot" and the Salmon go <fish noise>. I shouldve brought my recorder for the scoop, but alas, I obey copyright laws. There are a slew of Promotional materials for the movie including; condoms, frisbees, airfreshners, and a Cd-Rom Multimedia press kit set with behind the scenes footage and other crap you shouldnt oughtta see. Below are some of the other promotional items popping up currenly all over the place.

Just a quick update: There will be Sneak Preview showings of Tom's new movie Road Trip this Friday the 12th. Sneak Preview's however are not just 30 mins of the movie, they are the full movie, followed by a movie that is already currently showing. For instance. I saw the Detroit Rock City SneakPreview back in the summer, with the Blair Witch Project. Im explaining this because I used to think Sneak Previews were only short clips of the movie. Sue me dick head

And another thing; Ive been getting an insane ammount of emails asking me about my source for the below news update, and from people who dont believe what I reported to be true. The show isnt cancelled, its just going on a long break. The guys involved with the show havent had a long break since the show was created. If you are in the mood for comedy, and are having a tough time dealing with re-runs of Tom over the summer; check out the Late Late show with Craig Kilborn. Craig'ers will show you a good time weekdays at 12:30 am.

So you want to know what is going on in the Tom Green Show Universe, but you havent been able to find much information in recent weeks. You have come to the right place..

BudsHere is the current scoop:
The show is shutting down for a while. Derek is the last person in the Tom Green Show offices currently. Everyone else involved with the show has left, except Derek and one lone video editor (a guy named AJ: cool). Both Derek and Aj are working on the Cancer Special for MTV that will be airing soon. The show goes to an audio mix next Friday (May 5th), and after that; 6 years on the Tom Green show will come to an end.

Derek Harvie: "Humplik can already feel his star power fading"

After the show raps completly, Tom and Derek will be working on "Freddy Got Fingered" for the next few months, and are aiming to start shooting in Los Angeles in mid July. Along with "Freddy Got Fingered", both Tom and Derek will be working on re-writing an Italian movie called "Il Monstro".

And finally, Tom shot a new commercial for Gilette last Saturday. He shaved his chest once, he shaves his goatee frequently to become SkinFace, and now he wont have to pay for shaving products ever again!
you read it here first..
