November 2006: Old friends make up!

If you are reading this, chances are you know who Tom Green is, and
what "the tom green show" was all about. Originally, The Tom Green show starred
Tom Green, at the time, a 20 something year old slacker of the finest caliber. Tom originally
had a show on Ottawa's Rogers Cable back in 94. The Rogers show ended
its run in 96; and shortly after, a pilot was shot for the CBC. A year later THE COMEDY NETWORK did pick it up. Running for 2 highly successful
years, it developed a huge cult following in Canada. Early 1999 saw
MTV in the U.S picking the show up for themselves; where it aired
for 2 seasons and catapulted Tom + the gang to brief superstar
status. Movie roles for Tom soon followed, along with a failed
marriage to Drew Barrymore. Tom developed cancer, and while he was
sick, MTV cancelled the show, and hired a slew of imitators to
replace him. MTV decided to give Tom another chance in 2002, and
cancelled that show after only a few months. Tom is now
putting his energy into his website. My site is now only dedicated
to the Tom Green show circa 1994-2002. Show me the grease. |
